Good Friday – Karfreitag in Kapstadt // Cape Town

since i’m german and i grew up in church, i went to the german church in long street this morning.

tomorrow, boyfriend Desmond and i will shoot a wedding, so i had to dye the eastereggs already today. people don’t really seem to do that here… well, luckily my mom brought the color a few weeks ago (thanx mom!!)

we went for a walk on the sea point promenade and found this cute little closed café… someone cool needs to open up an icecream shop… it is soo cute!

anyways… happy easter!

Weil ich Deutsch bin und “in der Kirche aufgewachsen bin”, war ich heute morgen im Gottesdienst der Evang. Luth. St. Martini Kirchengemeinde – ganz zentral gelegen an der Long Street.

Nach Hause, und da morgen eine Hochzeit ansteht (mit boyfriend Desmond) habe ich heute schon Ostereier gefärbt (ein Grund Dtl. zu vermissen). Hier hab ich die Ostereierfarben nicht gefunden (ist hier keine Tradition, die Färberei), aber meine Mama war ja vor ein paar Wochen da und hat welche mitgebracht (danke Mama!!! 🙂

Dann noch einen Strandspaziergang an der Sea Point-Promenade… und heute Abend geht’s in ein Restaurant, worüber ich wieder einen kleinen Artikel schreiben werde!

Beer &UNION Cape Town

Wer kein Bier hat, hat auch nichts zu trinken.

yesterday I went for the 2nd time this week to &UNION in bree street in cape town – they have good beer plus they say it’s german plus the design is catching my eye. you must check it out… you might also get a bratwurst there…

ps: an interesting fact i find is that the owners of &UNION are the guys that started (&sold) vida e caffè .. they are 2 pretty young dudes.. good businessmen.. very inspiring.. it’s good to venture. x
